Wild Strawberry & Thyme Cake

August 9, 2023August 6, 2023 by Dan Rouse, posted in Food

July 5, 2023 by Dan Rouse, posted in Food

If you’re like me and buy bananas with the intention of getting healthy and eating them as a snack, but ultimately forgetting they are in the fruit bowl until they then become black and mushy. It's no secret that I have severe anxiety and have managed it my whole life - a major part of it for me is visiting unfamiliar places, confined transport and new settings.. so I'm not the best traveller! Straight off the doorstep - the Farne Islands hosts a heap of wildlife! From living in Swansea where we had Kittiwakes nesting on Mumbles pier.. to now living in the North-East with a breeding colony in Newcastle - safe to say they are one of my favourite birds! The ever so lovely @sarah__wildlife has been inspiring me to get back into moth trapping! Spent the day at @rspb_bemptoncliffs photographing Kittiwakes among the flowers 🪻 Orchid summer has been such a vibe! 🪻 Waders have always been a firm favourite of mine! Finding Fly Orchids in the Lake District! Beautiful Arctic Terns at Long Nanny!
